If you start right now, by the end of the year you will have saved enough to get your family one of the best New Year’s surprises you will remember.  What are you saving for?  A portable bar for your patio, deck, or pool area.  This is a super way to get ready for any party.  You can put it in the sunroom for the college bowl games.  You can put it on the patio for your next get-together.  You can put it on the deck for next summer’s cook out.  You can roll it to the pool for a summer pool party!  Not only that but they are great for your everyday needs so you can set it up for an all year around handy bar.  Take a look and see what you think.  And don’t forget if you’re into some specialty items – you can have the panels decorated to your heart’s content – you can even get a ROLL TIDE put on them!!

At one time I thought you needed a small bar on wheels in the patio when you had friends over or were hosting a party.  I’ve learned some since then.  If you have a portable bar you can leave it in your protected patio all year around.  You don’t need to take up indoor storage space for liquor, mixes, shakers, blenders, and bar glasses – you can leave everything in the portable bar.  It’s there when you need a Bloody Mary or Screwdriver with your breakfast on the weekend.  It’s there when you get home from work and you and your spouse relax with a martini before dinner.  All you need is to fill the bar’s ice bucket and you are in business.  Best of all it’s a piece of cake to relocate when you decide to move the patio furniture around.

Pool parties are cool when the air is hot, and they’re always better at someone else’s house where you don’t have to play host, fix the snacks, mix the drinks, and clean up.  When we have one we use an old card table in the pine straw bed for the “make your own margarita” bar.  It’s OK – a little wobbly, a couple spilled drinks, and bottle or two upended; but all in all it works for me.

Can you imagine going to a pool party where the host actually had a real life sturdy neat portable bar right on the pool deck loaded with tequila, scotch, gin, whiskey, and all the mixers right at your fingertips!!  No bending over to mix, no shaking when you stir, and no spilling or tipping over.  They’d probably have a great pool party – but miss out on all the card table fun.
